El ministro de Desarrollo Social, Daniel Arroyo, puso en marcha ayer en La Plata el Consejo Regional Argentina contra el Hambre, para potenciar acciones y el uso de la tarjeta Alimentar en La Plata, Berisso, Ensenada, Magdalena, Brandsen y Punta Indio, que recibirán algo más de 156 millones de pesos. Lisandro Hourcade, interinamente a cargo del ejecutivo municipal, suscribió el acuerdo en representación de Magdalena, mientras que Hernán Y Zurieta lo hizo en nombre de Punta Indio.
«No debe haber hambre en Argentina; está fuera de toda grieta; no se debate que todos tienen que comer bien porque si no comemos bien, no hay mejor educación ni mercado de trabajo», reflexionó Arroyo.
La presentación se realizó ayer a la tarde en la sede del Edificio Karakachoff de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) y contó con la presencia del presidente de la casa de estudios, Fernando Tauber; la titular del Consejo Nacional de Coordinación de Políticas Sociales, Victoria Tolosa Paz y el ministro de Salud bonaerense, Daniel Gollan.
El consejo, encuadrado en el plan Argentina contra el Hambre, tendrá su foco en los municipios de La Plata, Berisso, Ensenada, Magdalena, Brandsen y Punta Indio, donde la idea es potenciar la articulación del Estado con organizaciones y actores locales.
Arroyo detalló que la inyección a la economía local implicará la llegada de 120 millones de pesos a La Plata; 16 millones a Berisso; 12 millones a Ensenada; 2,3 millones a Magdalena; 4,6 millones a Brandsen y 1,3 millones a Punta Indio.
En La Plata -explicó- se entregarán 3.200 tarjetas para 6.300 chicos; en Ensenada 2.400 para 4.800; en Magdalena, 460 para 800; en Brandsen, algo más de 3.100 para 5.600 y en Punta Indio, 270 para 500.
«No puede haber hambre, eso no se debate, es una realidad. Hay dos datos: se consume menos leche, estamos ante el menor consumo de leche en los últimos 29 años, y en segundo lugar, hay chicos petisos y obesos, niños con una talla menor a la que corresponde y obesidad infantil», detalló Arroyo, en alusión a la malnutrición.
El funcionario destacó que con la puesta en marcha de la tarjeta en la región capital de la provincia, en febrero se habrá completado su implementación en el 70 por ciento del país y, en marzo, «habrá 1.400.000 tarjetas funcionando».
Destacó que la Tarjeta Alimentar -distribuida a través del Banco Provincia- se complementa con la «organización de ferias y el impulso de agricultura familiar (para la compra de productos)».
Por su parte, Tolosa Paz destacó que se trabajará «con la matriz productiva de la Región Capital (de la provincia) y a la vez se buscará la dotación de los servicios básicos: agua potable y cloacas para garantizar un crecimiento adecuado».
El ministro Gollán dijo que la cuestión nutricional «es de una prioridad absoluta en la provincia de Buenos Aires» porque, según un relevamiento propio, «casi el 50 por ciento de los chicos tienen problemas nutricionales».
Gollán precisó que ese relevamiento se realizó durante enero al evaluar la talla y peso de los niños y niñas que asistieron al programa Escuelas de Verano. Constituyó una estrategia piloto de abordaje integral de la salud que se llevó a cabo en 26 escuelas abiertas de verano localizadas en barrios de alta vulnerabilidad de Lomas de Zamora, Florencio Varela, Ensenada y Berisso y, por ejemplo, permitió saber que el 82 por ciento de los niños y niñas presenta caries.
El acuerdo fue firmado por Arroyo, Tolosa Paz, Fernando Tauber (UNLP) y los intendentes Julio Garro (La Plata), Mario Secco (Ensenada), Fabian Cagliardi (Berisso), Lisandro Hourcade (Magdalena), Hernán Y Zurieta (Punta Indio) y Daniel Cappelletti (Brandsen), quienes se comprometen a trabajar en conjunto en «acciones que promuevan y garanticen la implementación efectiva del Programa Argentina Contra el Hambre» al tiempo que acuerdan a ejecutar actividades en temas de interés común, tendientes a la implementación de AlimentAR como política pública integral con el objetivo de garantizar la Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutricional».
